Hey oppo .. so I've got this "big dick wing" or 3 piece wing if you prefer that .. I like how it looks on other Z's and I got a good price on it .. Thing is
A: I have no idea how to do body work and I rather not start learning on this piece that wouldnt be too cheap to replace...
B: I dont know anybody that knows how to do body work .. I feel like this is a area of the car that has to be done right the first time otherwise I'll be dealing with problems forever ..
What are your thoughts on the wing ????
Any Advice / know anybody in the Austin or Dallas Fort Worth Area thats a experienced Body man ?

What attachment methods are used for the wing? Peel-and-stick tape? Does it have screw or bolt holes? Any instructions?
Personally I think it'll look good but you should really decide for yourself since there's always going to be someone that doesn't like something about your car.

I love wings/ducktails or whatever you want to call them on the Zs. I think they look great. Get it put on properly and it will be worth it!

What kind of body work are you trying to do with it? Mount it? Paint it?
Regardless, I love the Z...That's a rare car around here in Chicago!

Mounting it's easy if you go the tape/glue/epoxy way, it's the paint and finish that's hard. If you had the money, I prefer to have them blending into the body... but it's not cheap.
Call a few shops in your area and just pick their brains about pricing and what you should do.

Thanks man .. and Actually I'd like to just hand my car over to someone and have it all done .. I don't have 6k to blow on that so some if not all the prep work will have to be done by myself.. ..
Also one of the cleanest Z's around is from Chicago and its a girls car .. Slammed Black on Black ..

What Big Bubba said.
OR
Get some experience on other smaller areas of the car. Practice on someone elses car. Then do the wing.

Still waiting on final paint. The shop heater blew up so it wasn't staying warm enough to try curing fresh paint. They should have it done this weekend if all goes well. Then back to wiring.... oh joy...

I have no advice in regards to body work, other than that those ducktails tend to be rust magnets for the rear hatch (I grew up around an old 280ZX with a spoiler like that) when rainwater gets in-between the
One trick we did was cut up a rubber section and formed (ie cut out) a cheap gasket out of it that went between the spoiler and the paint. Tightened the bolts down around the gasket and the water couldn't run between the gasket and the bodywork anymore, so it wouldn't get into the hatch and rust it up.

Probably the most beautiful car ever created (serious)... I will get one someday when I will have a garage...

I would have gotten one as a daily driver instead of the corvette... Unfortunately, no garage and corrosion being horrible on this car, I had to give up the idea, but soon, a beautiful 240z will be mine :)

Copper is going to be way expensive and people might rip it off for scrap.
If that's the spoiler in the picture and you like it, my suggestion is to use a two-part epoxy to mount it. I'd first remove the paint where you want the epoxy to hold the spoiler onto the car, clean the spoiler, mix and apply the epoxy and hold in place until it sets. OR you could check the Z forums for other install tips.
Personally I think a nice aluminum lip spoiler would look good - that you could rivet to the trunk lid.
